Club and Cutting Day 25th February
We have a club day coming up on Sunday 25th February to be held at Moriac. We will have two arena's open one with trail equipment setup for anyone wanting to work on your hunters, pleasure, trail etc. We will have a mechanical cow setup in a second arena. The Mechanical cow is great to teach your horse the basics of cutting and open to all riders including beginners or anybody that wants to have a go!
Cost $10 for members $25 for non members (Including day membership)
Gates will open at 9:30 - start time 10am
We will also be holding a BBQ lunch, $5 per person.

Club and Cutting Day 26th November
We hope you can join us at our next club and cutting day on Sunday 26th November at Mount Moriac Reserve. We will be opening up an arena and setting up the trail equipment for members to be able to have a ride.
A BBQ will be available at $5ph. Please let us know if you will be attending for catering purposes and if you will be attending the the cutting day. Cutting costs TBC
24th September Club Day & club update
This season members will have access to exclusive club days & other benefits to be announced. We will also be running more shows at Werribee Park Indoor so the weather won't be an issue & more clubs days & cow days at Moriac.
The first event of the season is our Membership drive on the 24th September at Mt Moriac. Come along with your horse, free for members there will be a BBQ lunch, demonstrations and ability to join on the day.
Our first show for the season will be held at Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre on Sunday 29 October. This show is 'A' AQHA approved and will be judged by Conny Barry. The program includes, Paint Bred, Paint and Appaloosa halter classes, led hack and Ranch Riding events. Not to mention a full program of select amateur, improver and intermediate classes. 2017/2018 members of WDQHA will receive a 5% discount on their entry fees at our shows (excluding state show) during this show season!
We are excited to announce our first clinic for the season on Saturday 14 October 2017 at Burong Equestrian Centre, Winchelsea. Jessie Freeman of JCF Performance Horses, an enthusiastic trainer who has too many titles at State and National level to mention will host the day. Positions are $100 per rider. Fence sitters welcome at $20. WDQHA membership required. To confirm your spot, as places are limited please advise of your interest and 50% deposit by 1 October.
We are also excited to announce that we will be hosting the 2018 Victorian Quarter Horse State Championship Show at Tatura Park Complex 22nd-25th March 2018 pending AQHA approval. More details to follow once approved!
WDQHA AGM will be held at Moriac Hotel in the function room on Saturday 12th August at 6pm. Pub Meals are available to purchase & AGM will follow along with high points. Please consider helping out on the committee next season. New committee members are needed to ensure the club continues running shows & club days in both performance & cutting. Please RSVP if you're planning on joining us for dinner by Wednesday 9th August
'A' Show June 24th 2017
Saturday 24th at Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre.  It will be pre entry to help out our show secretary and you will be able to enter additional classes on the morning of the show.  If you're looking for a few extra points to finish of the season then put the date in your calendar.  Hope to see you there! Program, entry form and patterns available on the documents page.

**** Date Change to our first club day****

Due to a date clash with other venue bookings we have had no option but move the date to the 18th Sept at Moriac. We will kick off at 9.30am & looking forward to seeing you all there. Bev O'Keefe has an informative fun filled day planned for us all. Hope to see you all there!

SEPTEMBER 11th 2016

Our first club day for the season will be held on Sept 11th & we will be going ahead with our steward training day due to the interest received. Bev O'Keefe will be be our judge providing training on the day & we hope to see you all there. We will be holding a car boot pre loved gear sale exclusively for members to sell their goods & a raffle on the day. If you have anything to donate to the raffle please contact us.
