We are a family oriented, Western based horse club in Geelong, Victoria, Australia.

 

Our shows are held regularly at the Mt. Moriac Reserve & Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre.

About the WDQHA

 

All Abilities

Our club aims to accommodate all levels/experiences of western riding. We hold many club days, clinics and Improver events to encourage interested riders to come and learn more of the art of riding western.

 

Clinics

The club endeavours to hold clinics during the season with clinicians who can cater for all level of riders. Keep an eye on our facebook page for upcoming clinics and events.

Club Days

Club Days are a great day to come along and see what our club has to offer. These are low key events with committee member on hand to provide instruction and information

Shows

We aim to host 4-5 annual shows including our major once a year AA show the Sun N Surf Showcase. Other shows are ‘A’ & ‘B’. shows with full programs that include Improver classes. We also offer end of year high point awards.

Code of Conduct

Competitors/participants at any event run by the WDQHA have the responsibility to ensure the welfare of their horses and at all times to treat their horses humanely and with dignity, respect and compassion.


Competitors/participants are to:

  • conduct themselves in a professional manner and act with integrity in all dealings with the affiliate and other competitors,

  • uphold the rules and regulations of the WDQHA and the AQHA at all times,

  • demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times, showing respect for your fellow competitors and officials, following the rules, and

  • treat people the way you yourself wish to be treated.
